Cats and cop cars??

 Holaaaaaaaaaa,

How is everyone doing? I hope that all of you are doing super well. This week has been super exciting and crazy.

So, I really do love my little area of Kennewick SP4 but sometimes it feels like a different country because it is all apartments and just crammed full of the strangest people. So in addition to keeping track of how many cats I see per week, I've also started keeping track of how many cop cars too.

So here's the count:
Cats: 16
Cop cars: 28

Now to the rest of this week! First off though, we had a mission-wide party on Friday!!! And it was so much fun to have all of us in the same place and President and Sister Rasmussen had planned out a super fun day filled with mini Olympic competitions and then super great food and a sweet spiritual training afterwards. And it was just so sweet because as the sistrict, we all were matching! So Hnas Platt, Baeten, and Gensel made us all matching tie-died shirts and we tied our ribbons in our hair. We were definitely the best dressed district there.

And yesterday, after a week of not a whole lot happening, of days and days of not being able to find anyone and our plans falling through and then the backups to the backups falling through we did have a huge milagro yesterday with Pedro y Consuelo. They are basically ready to be baptized at any time but Consuelo's heath has not been very good. And Pedro is so very sweet and he doesn't want to be baptized without her so we've been praying so hard for her heath to improve and trying to get her a priesthood blessing for about 2 weeks now! And we tried so hard this week and it just fell through again and again and then the elders on a spur of the moment request came with us yesterday and she got a blessing and immediately looked better. She was the most responsive and answering questions I've ever seen and she kept telling us she felt better!!!! So we are super hopeful that they can get baptized very soon.

Even though this week has definitely been a super stressful and a bit of a hard week. But that has definitely made all of the milagros this week so much sweeter.

2 Nephi 2:11
For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad.

Espero que todos ustedes tengan una semana increíble! Seguir siendo positivos y buscando la felicidad!!! Les quiero!!!!

Maybe We'll Perish 🤷

Holaaaaaa!

Well, this has been a WEEK! No like seriously, so much has happened and it's felt like riding a rollercoaster with your eyes closed where you're never quite sure if you're gonna go up or down or go through a crazy loop. 😂

First off, we had exchanges and a blitz this week! So Hermana Flake on Tuesday went to SP1 and Hermana Baeten came here to SP4. I adore Hermana Flaka but holy cow, Hermana Baeten is wild. We had a super fun day. Then for the blitz, which is just like for 4 hours all the companionships get mixed up. So I went to SB with Hermana Mendoza! And that was super fun to see part of Pasco again.

But, this week we put Pedro, Consuelo, and Jaime ON DATE!!!! They are on date for the 24th!!! So we are super excited for them and we would just love your prayers that they'll be able to stick to that date.

I also got food this week!!! So weird, honestly. Diana made us arepas (I think that's what they're called) from Colombia. And they were good but oh my goodness they are so filling. Like I thought I was gonna explode and die.

And yesterday, Yolima made us her famous arroz con leche and it was awesome too! But once again, I got handed a huge bowl of food and I about imploded. Like it's too much but you have to be nice soooooooo, está bien 😂

So not only have all of us been convinced we were going to perish from overeating, we also got the vacuna yesterday! Our first dose. And we were super nervous because our roommates, Hnas Stockdale and Dust got super incredibly sick. And no one in my trio git that sick, I was probably the worst. I had a fever last night and thought I was going to pass out. But we're all alive thus morning so it's going to be okay. Energy is low but we're going to make it 😊

I think that's it! Our scripture of the week we've been sharing with everyone is Moroni 10:32, which happens to be my favorite scripture, so that's been super fun for me to talk about that.

Pero, espero que todo esté bien y tengan una buena semana!!

Los Gatos

Holaaaaaa,

This week has been insane and simultaneously very rough and sweet at the same time. I don't actually know how to put all of it in today's email so I guess I'm just gonna have to give you guys the spark notes version. So prepare yourself for a wild ride. Cause it's been a mess.

1. I got yelled at by Cleo this week. The other hermanas have told me about her and some of the very sad neighbors and situations surrounding our dear friend socorro. We'd brought the elders over to give socorro a blessing and found Cleo instead. The elders were very firm and persistent and she was screaming in our face and for some reason, the courage I've been praying for kicked in right there and I found myself testifying very boldly to her in Spanish and not backing down. But she came this close to about smacking me in the face with a Bible. But I am very proud of myself for not letting her see my fear, but as soon as we left, I just cried in the parking lot. And bless our dear sweet elders, they prayed with us in that parking lot and the spirit immediately came back. The power of the priesthood and the influence of the spirit is so real.

2. We found Olga and dropped her within days as we were very rudely told by her husband that he would not have our libro in his house. So very sad.

3. We had a very sketch situation with this guy we're teaching where he tried to I guess true to hit on all three of us?!?! And it was very sketch so maybe pray for us jajajajaja

4. Conference in Spanish is so hard to understand but it was so good. Diana and Manuel came to conference yesterday afternoon!!!!!!! That was so exciting!!!!

5. This week has been overall very draining and exhausting as we have been putting in so much effort with nothing happening. We have spent several nights just searching and praying and finding no one. But así es, sometimes we simply need to wait on the lord with patience and that is definitely what He has been trying to teach me this week.

6. As a way to cheer myself up, especially since the weather can't make up its mind if it wants to be freezing and windy or rainy or like 70 degrees for some reason?????? I've started counting how many cats I see in a week. There are hilarious cats every where and I love them with all of my heart. So far we're up to 6 but I only started counting yesterday.

7. Also, happy Easter everyone! Yesterday was Easter, conference, and also my 20th birthday so that was cool. My hermanas were very sweet and made me a lot of homemade notes.

8. And of course, it wouldn't be conference without cinnamon rolls so I made cinnamon rolls from scratch WITHOUT a mixer!!!! My pioneer ancestors would have been proud.

But I think that's about it. If course everyday has been filled with sweet tender mercies that I cannot count. Also, if you have a chance this week, I found an awesome talk that I totally think all of you should read!

Tomorrow the Lord Will Do Wonders among You

I hope all of you have an amazing week!!! Les quiero muchísimo!!!!!
