The Winter Just Can't Leave us Alone :(

 Hola!

This week has been a bit of an interesting week. The weather has decided to completely change its mind and I have NOT been happy about it. We had a winter storm come in and dump a few inches of snow everywhere and then it froooooooooze. So that was a rip. But thankfully it has all melted away now and it's just continuing to rain. The spooky fog has returned.

Also, I survived the Covid!!!! But now I'm actually sick with something else again, jaja. I just can't catch a break I guess. They think I might have food poisoning or a stomach bug but either way it is not fun at all. I'm really hoping it goes away soon because I do not want to continue being a sick missionary, it is not the greatest.

But several cool things happened this week! First off we had transfers and for the first time since July I did not have a companion change! Hermana Dust and I are here for another round so that's exciting. She broke the streak! She's super sweet and we get along well. She's currently being very patient with my annoying sickness which is very kind of her.

But also, one of the recent-ish converts in the rama got endowed this last saturday! Ellie is soooooooo cool and I'm so proud of her for taking this jump! And we had such a cool conversation with her yesterday about how the temple can help strengthen us and give us power to overcome anything! Also, she is the best fellowship for a lovely family we're teaching, Camila and her kids. They couldn't make it to church yesterday because family came into town. But Camila and Ellie work together and Ellie told us yesterday that Camilia has decided she wants to get baptized!!!!!! That's the coolest thing ever because missionaries have worked with this family for seriously about 8 months and they're gonna do it! Not sure when but hopefully soon!

Pero, espero que tenga una buena semana!

Attack of the Caronavirus

Hola a todos!

We've had a super crazy week and it's been super insane because we got COVID. It finally happened and it was not a super great experience. We've been in quarantine for the past few days and I have lost my sense of smell which is the weirdest part. Like I can' t even smell soap so that's a rip. One day I slept 16 hours and that was super crazy, jaja.

So we have done a lot of creative stuff and art and Facebook as we've been stuck inside the past few days which has been super fun.

But we got to go to the temple on Tuesday which was super fun! And we had a bonfire last night which was a party as well.

But I really do know that Heavenly Father has a plan even when I' m not able to see what exactly is going on. I could not have predicted that I would get COVID this week but the Lord has definitely taken care of us and helped us still continue to do missionary work.

Espero qué todo esté bien!

I am the Spook!

Hola a todos!

This week we have once again been trying our hardest to work with the members and that has been super fun. As a result of that, Hermana Dust and I ate 2 member meals yesterday and I thought I was going to explode so that was ridiculous. Spanish work is funny because you never get fed and then on the days that you do, everyone wants to feed you and it's always sooooooooo much food. So yay for that, I guess!

Also, we had a fun adventure this week when we drove up to Dayton which is like 40 minutes away but is magically still in our area because #spanishwork. So we had a fun drive up there through the fog and I am completely convinced that half of the houses in these towns are big haunted. So yeah, that's good times. Then we told scary stories the other night for our district story time and honestly I was a bit freaked out but it's all good. We met this man named Remijio and his wife Mirna and they are such funny people. We were up there with the Dayton elders and it just consisted of us joining in Spanish and then Remijio being like, now tell them what I said. Before proceeding to roast them in English. I honestly have no idea what happened in that lesson but it was soooooooo funny. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We are still on the finding grind, trying to do our best to find people around here that are interested in the gospel. But we've found some that have some solid potential so that's super exciting! Also, 2 of the hermanas were at church again yesterday for the 2nd week in a row and that was really encouraging. But Hermana Dust and I are up here just vibing. She says that Walla wasn't creepy until I got here so I guess I bring the spooky ghetto vibes with me wherever I go. So maybe it's not the area but I just have that effect on things jaja.👻 Most of the missionaries here have told me I'm a little intimidating so maybe I need to tone down the spookiness before something crazy happens 😂

Pero espero que estén bien!
Con amor,

People Aren't Very Nice Unless They're on Drugs........ 👀

Hola a todos!!!! Espero que todo esté bien!!!

So this week has been a super great week! A lot has happened and it's been filled with a bit of sketchy, but awesome experiences so here we go.

First off in good news, we had zone conference on Friday and that was super fun as always. They always feed us the best food which I really appreciate because I get actually foods rarely. Mostly because I'm too lazy to actually cook most days. But then right after we had exchanges and I went down to Pendleton with Sister Campbell, on of my STLs. And it was an hour and a half drive from the parley building in Pasco to Pendleton in Oregon but we took the route along the Colombia River and it was sooooooooo beautiful as the sunset dropped into the ocean.

But Pendleton is where the sketchiness happened so let's get to it. So we went and had a lesson with a guy that was definitely on so many drugs I don't know if he'll remember it later. English work, yayyyyyyyyy. Also the next day we were talking to this nice guy Mike who was outside smoking a cigarette and he casually mentions to us that Pendleton was dedicated to the devil in the 1800s so that was a fun fact. Not sure if he's serious but okay. Interestingly enough, everyone we talked too really hates living in Pendleton and I cannot understand why people choose to live there in the first place but that's all good. Also, as we were trying to walk across the street after having the first real hamburger on my mission (worth every cent of Christmas money). And these people drove by and threw some trash out of the car at me. But they missed by like 3 feet. They should probably practice so they can actually hit the target. Just saying, jaja.

But Sister Campbell's remark to me was that, well, turns out that the nicest people are the ones that are on drugs, even if they do say some of the craziest things.

But now for a super cool milagro of the week!!!!! Camila and her kids, Rosa, Julian, and Hailey came to hurch for the first time yesterday and they loved it so much and they're going to come to church next week!!!!!!! So that's a milagro because missionaries have been working with them for the past 8 months or so and they finally came!!!!

But that's been this week! Kind of a rollercoaster but a super cool week too!
Espero que todo vaya bien!
