It's Flipping Tables Time 🥳

So first off, the area presidency made some big changes to our missionary work! First things first, we've had a rule in this area that we were only allowed to eat with members on weekends but not anymore! We can eat at members houses everyday which might be an issue because we already get fed A LOT so rip to my diet.

Secondly, they changed our schedule so now prime pros is from 1-6pm and we have dinner from 6-7 instead of  4-5. And they changed that for all Spanish missionaries which is pretty wild but also super nice because now that it's getting really dark here, the previous schedule was not effective because no one wants to talk to us in the dark, even if it is only 6:30.

Now to the exciting news. First off, our friend Ramona came to church for the first time yesterday and that was really neat! It was the primary program and she totally loved that! Also, Fidelina, Annaliz's grandma watched church yesterday too and loved it as well and her and the branch president are becoming besties which is awesome.

Now for the super incredible milagro. My friend Alfredo got baptized in my old area of Kennewick SP4 last night! And because it's been within 6 weeks of me having been there, I got to go back and be there for it. I taught him for about 2 transfers so it was really sweet to be there for his baptism and the spirit was so strong. He's just a cute little abuelito and is so pumped already to be able to go to the temple as soon as he can. It was an aweomse blessing to have been able to be there with my old companions for that and to see all my old friends in the sistrict.

So I think I just drove into someone's crops??? 🌽🌽🌽

Hola!!!!

We had a super cool miracle yesterday with Fidelina, Annaliz's grandma!!!! Annaliz is a little 9 year old girl who was baptized here last May. And her grandma has always been super supportive of other members of her family joining the church but she's always been like, it's not for her. But she's had a huge change of heart due to some health challenges in her life and she out of the blue told us she wants to get baptized!!!! Like as soon as her health gets better and the doctors say it's okay, she's wants to get baptized!!!!! So holy goodness I'm so excited!!!!! Just huge prayers for her so she can be healed enough to get baptized!

But the title of this email comes from the fact that it is getting super dark when we have to go out and work at night and we're in the boonies so there's not a lot of lights or anything to begin with. Especially with daylight savings, it's gotten worse. But there was one day that we were trying to find a former and everyone's driveways are little dirt roads. So it's dark and I can see the house but I just turn down what I think is a road and after 2 seconds I stop and look at Hna Barrow and I'm like, "I think I just drove into someone's crops." And she just laughs at me and then gets out of the car to back me out of this literal field I've just driven into. Kind of an embarrassing moment but no one else saw so it's okay. So everyone, maybe I shouldn't be driving in the winter. It's not going too well 😂

Espero que tenga una buena semana!!!!
Love you all!!!

La casa de los pollos locos 🐓

Holaaaaaaa!!!!!

But everything is seriously all good! It is greeting really cold up here, it was 37 degrees this morning at 9:00am as we were driving down to Pasco to go shopping and that was wild. My nose has been constantly cold for several weeks now and I've got a pretty good cold right now so rip that 😂

But we had a very interesting week filled with lots of wild animal encounters. I have started trying to pet or pick up every cat I see and I think it drives Hna Barrow a little crazy but they're soooooooo cute I can't help it. And I had to take on a giant wasp and a spider in our house this week (separate occasions) so not a huge fan of that. The spider (lovingly named Dante, rip) freaked me out for a solid 24 hours before I could find him and kill him. We also had a scary looking bull scare us so bad when it decided to charge at us and that was wild but we're all good.

The title from this email comes from the fact that we were knocking at this random house and it was kinda sketch but we're knocking anyways and from behind me, like I kid you not, 40 chickens come charging up the hill. I thought we were done for. But they just kinda followed us around and we had to run to the car and they kinda just gave up and ran back down the hill. Really weird glitch in the matrix kinda vibe, so not sure what was up with that but I might have narrowly avoided being pecked to death by chickens.

In exciting news, we invited our friend Ramona to be baptized and she's praying about it really hard right now so everyone just pray that she gets an answer so that she can be baptized soon! She's so cool and we're excited for her.

I hope everyone's Halloween was fun! Happy turkey time! No one get mad at me but Christmas music was approved starting today so I've been listening to Christmas music all day. I've been stuck with the same music forever so the second I could play Mariah Carey I was like, we have to do this right now. Don't judge. 🎄

But I hope everyone has a great week!

Love you all!

It's the Final Countdown
