A Cat named Pickles

 Holaaaa mis amigos!!!!

Another good week here in SP4 and while it hasn't been a wild week it's been a busy one.

We had interviews with President and Sister Rasmussen on Thursday and as always that was so very fun. And then our mission is big into mission raps and creating our own music so the zone leaders had dropped some fire music into the chat a few days ago and we got a live performance!!!! The closest thing I've had to a concert in a long time and it was absolutely incredible!

We had exchanges and they were overnight this time! Which is something new for me, but that meant that I had to drive!!!! First time driving on my mission so that was soooooooo strange. But I was with one of my stls, Hermana Platt and that was a party! She's way cool and I got to tour her around my tiny area and have wild adventures in all the apartments.

Also, we moved Armando's baptismal date to the 12th so everyone just keep praying for him that he feels ready for this. And also, we put our friend Manuel on date for the 13th this week! So that's so cool and we are so very excited for both of them so just lots of prayers would be appreciated.

We have been trying to hard to find people this week and I have met so many cats and found some people because of cats which is strange but all good. We knocked on this one door and four cats came out the door and one ran down the stairs and started rolling in the grass. So this lady runs down and grabs it while this other lady is yelling from inside, "did you get pickles?" and I was like, wait what? There's no pickles here! And I had a moment of like strange panic and them this lady holds this orange tabby cat at arms length and goes "this is pickles. We're doing fine though, have a good day." and she takes pickles inside, the other 3 cats follow her in and she shuts the door. That was wild. πŸ˜‚

Miracles really do happen here in the WKM and I know it's because Heavenly Father is trusting us to work hard to go out and find His children and bring them home. And I am so grateful for those moments when He trusts me enough to choose to work hard and follow Him, and that's pretty cool. πŸ˜Š

Pero espero que su semana vaya bien!!

It's been a wild ride...

 Holaaaaaa a todos!

Esta semana fue muy rara,no la tiene pies ni cabeza πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But it's all good! I just don't even know how to begin describing everything that happened this week so we're just gonna have to go with the shortened bullet points version. So buckle up, this is gonna be a ride.

1. We'll we had a huge milagro yesterday with Manuel! We have only had one phone lesson with him and have just been texting him for like a week or so having good scriptural conversations. But he out of the blue came to church yesterday!!!!!! Like we sort of last minute reminded him yesterday morning and then he came!!! And it was just so cool because we've never like met him in person! So that was just super super cool. So then we went over yesterday and had an in person lesson with him and talked about church and answered questions and then left him with a restauraciΓ³n pamphlet and he said he'd read it!!!!! So we're excited.
2. I knocked on a door and released, simultaneously, 3 perros of different sizes, three pequinitos, and 3 adults. And they all just tan in different directions screaming in fast paced Spanish. And Hermana Hollingsworth and I just stood there, by ourselves, wondering to stay or go.
3. A guy told us his brother named a dog Felon. And he, in his own words, said "and that's just kinda weird, cause then you have to yell down the street Feloooooooon! And that just don't seem right". πŸ˜‚ Sooooooooo funny, I died.
4. I heard a very strange interpretation of the last supper painting that I could have gone my whole life without hearing.
5. I got the second vaccine and I was not as sick as I thought I would be but it also wasn't good. Our roomates though got sooooooooo sick, so the impending doom was a lot but IT NEVER REALLY CAME. So that's a milagro, it was no where near as bad as the first one which is strange.
6. Helped a kid named Josh smash a giant Black Widow spider.
7. We couldn't wake up Antonio for church yesterday even though Hermano Loveridge showed up to give him a ride and then was gonna wake up the whole apartment complex with how loud he was knocking. So rip to that.

But in the middle of all of this chaos and whirlwhinds of weirdness, we have had some pure sweet moments. And even when things haven't gone as planned, we've been exactly where we needed to be several times, to do something that no one else could, to help in a way no once else would have been able to. So we've been really reading and studying this talk by President Hinkley about forgetting yourself and going to work. And we have truly been working so hard but things haven't always gone according to plan and that's okay cause it's not my plan. πŸ˜Š
I really would recommend all of you read it, it's awesome!

Pero, espero que todo estΓ© bien y tengan una buena semana!

Cracking open up a metaphorical cold one with the boys πŸ‘Œ

 Holaaaaaa,

It's been una semana muy interesante πŸ˜‚
First off we had transfers! And very sadly, Hermana Flake has left us to go across the river to Pasco. So it's just Hermana Hollingsworth and I left here in SP4. Which is a bit strange to not have tripan powers but it'll be okay.

A milagro this week happened when we found a group of 5 middle-aged friends living together and started teaching them all! We came up with several fun nicknames for all of them: The Breezeway Boyz, Fabian and the Boyz, and The Mexican Frat House. They know about all of these and they think they're hilarious πŸ˜‚ we're such homies and they were learning super fast and really accepting the gospel which was super super exciting!!! They're the reason for the title of this email because honestly, they are all just certified homies. But they are moving today to California and they won't be back until November, just cause of what they do for work and it revolves around the seasons. So it was a bit sad to have to say goodbye, but also to know that we came into their lives at exactly the right time and we are going to continue teaching them over text until they get settled and we can send the Californian Spanish missionaries over.

The Lord really just puts us in people in the exact place we need to be in at the right time we're needed. We truly can be seen angels for others in day to day moments. Because getting to be such friends with them in like A WEEK was such a cool experience and especially for Sergio, he already told us that he's never going to forget us. So yeah, I'm pretty sure we're about to send a bomb referral to the missionaries down there and they're gonna get baptized right away.

Les quiero muchΓsimo y espero que esta semana fuera muy buena! Que les vaya bien!
