 Hola!

La primavera ya está aquí en Walla Walla! Estoy muy emocionada y también no puedo creer que el tiempo está pasando así! Recuerdo cuando eso sucedió el año pasado! Pero estoy muy feliz que el clima está mejorando.

This week has been super fun to watch as a lot of the trees have started to bloom!!!!! We went for a spontaneous run one morning this week, just Hermana Dust and I and that was a bit rough because I haven't run in a long time but also it was super duper fun to be able to see all the flowers!

This week has thankfully been a lot calmer than the past few weeks and I am sooooooooo grateful for that because it's been a bit of a wild ride up here in Walla Wall. Something really cool that happened this week is that Carmen, the mom of a family we've started teaching is getting really into the Book of Mormon. Like we went over on Wednesday and she had a whole moment where she was like, yeah I need to read the BoM, I'm missing something and reading will help me. And we were like well, you're not wrong, so you should definitely read the book of Mormon. And in like five days she has already made it through 1 Nefi 12 which is amazing! And she had lots of questions and really seems to be wanting to know the truth which is super cool and I am really excited for her. Hopefully her energy helps the rest of her family start to read more as well. Also, side note: she makes some amaaaaaaaazing jugo de piña and it was soooooooooo good.

Also we had zone conference this past Friday which is always a super fun experience. I was a little sad because 2 of my past companions are going home in a week and I just can't believe that because it means that I'm going to be going home pretty soon too! Like what the...... who decided that was okay, jaja. 

But otherwise this week has been pretty chill! Just filled with lots of crackheaded moments just because, you know, President stuck the feistiest Hermanas together so that's always a party. Now that the weather is getting nice again, we are starting to have more carne asada fiestas and that is increíble! I think that I honestly have the same problem as a lot of people here, at least people that we've been trying to teach in the Spanish speaking population. When it is dark and cold and rainy or snowy, it just makes me sad and irritated. But now that the weather is getting better and the sun is back, everyone's a lot happier and less angry, including me! What a time, I love it. Especially if it means that we can start crashing fiestas again.    

General Conference is this weekend!!!!! Don't forget to tune in, I'm positive it's going to be amazing.

Thankfully I Did Not Get Shanked

Another week up here in Walla Walla! We've had a bit of a crazy week but that's all good. It is starting to be spring up here and the trees are beginning to bud and I am soooooooooooooooo excited! 

Soooooooooo, I'd better explain the story with the title of this week's email. We were trying to go by a less active member's house. Now mind you, this is in the middle of the afternoon. And as we're driving to the house there is this man that is just laying down on the sidewalk like passed out. I honestly thought for 2 seconds he might've been dead. But then he got up and I was like, oh thank goodness. Then we park the car and look behind us and this guy is like speed walking towards us and I just get a really bad feeling and I go, "Hermana Dust, we should try by this family later." She sees the man and she goes, yep, and we just start driving again. And the guy STOPS and turns around and walks away. And for a moment we thought he'd disappeared but we saw him quickly walking the other way. We then go and do some contacts and come back like an hour later. No one is around. We go and we knock on the door and no one answers, sadly. But we leave a card and we'll try by later. As we are walking away I see the same man! And he is speed walking towards us. And I go, "Hermana, he's back. Get to the car, now!" And we ran to the car. I have never hopped in a car and put my seatbelt on faster. Hna Dust is panicking and struggling to get her seatbelt on and we lock the doors and she starts to pull away just as this guy is almost level with my door and he looks like he's reaching for it but then we were gone. I was soooooooo stressed but we survived and all is well and maybe we'll stay away from there for a bit 

This week has been a bit of a rollercoaster of a week which just seems to be how things are going jaja. We have been really trying to invite a family we're teaching to be baptized but Satan has honestly been working his gosh darn hardest to do everything to prevent that. For one reason or another they have been sick or they haven't been home and that's been sad. However we have a lesson tonight with them and we have high faith that it's going to happen this time! As we've been working super hard this week and the Lord has blessed us with 2 new families to teach in the past 2 days!!!!! It's amazing and they are so solid and want to learn about the gospel and I love them so much.
