Do Not Drink a Glowstick! ⚠️

Hola amigos, cómo están? Espero que estén muy bien.

This week has been a rollercoaster with lots of trainings and interviews. So that's pretty wild. Also my companion is getting ready to go home in 2 weeks which makes me sooooooooooooo very sad! But it's okay, I'll get over it eventually.

We also had lots of fun this we playing glow in the dark volleyball and drawing with chalk. My zone is way fun and with it being summer we can do all sorts of cool activities. So that's where the title of this email comes from is because I had to really convince some elders that even if Glowstick juice made their mouths glow, it was still really bad for them. So don't drink Glowsticks, even if it seems cool. 😂

A HUUUUUUUUGE milagro this week is that our friends Manuel and Javier came to church yesterday and that they were still able to find a ride! So Saturday night their apartment of 5 told us that they weren't going to be able to come to church and we were so bummed about that. And so we called the members that were giving them a ride and told them thank you but they weren't going to be able to come to church anymore. And then Sunday morning we get a text from Javier that he can come to church and we're like, oh my goodness, that's awesome! We scramble to get a hold of these members and then race to their apartment, knock on the door and get Javier and Manuel ready to go so that they can make it to church for the first time! And by some miracle, the members are still ready and willing to give them a ride. And so they show up and Manuel is on the fence, Javier is like ready to go, but Manuel isn't sure. I've never had to work so hard to convince someone to come to church or to practically drag them there! But he did it!!!!!! I am so very proud of him. And so that was a super chaotic moment but Javier especially loved church and says that he would like to come again!

But we were reading 3 Nephi 11 with one of our members, Hermana Ochoa and she just really loved that the Savior takes the time to individual let each of the Nephities feel the prints in His hands and in His side, that the Savior's love and care is so individual for each one of us. That if we were the only one the Atonement would have saved, He would have gone through it all anyway. And that I think has been my  favorite part of the mission is watching that change where people can recognize that the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ really is for them, personally and individually. It's for all of us, and infinite and eternal sacrifice, but also, it is a personal one. And that discussion we had with her was just soooooo cool. So I'd definitely encourage all of you to go read 3 Nephi 11 again because it is a bomb chapter.

But I hope everything is going well! Love you all!
