Hola a todos!!!! Espero que todo esté bien!!!
So this week has been a super great week! A lot has happened and it's been filled with a bit of sketchy, but awesome experiences so here we go.
First off in good news, we had zone conference on Friday and that was super fun as always. They always feed us the best food which I really appreciate because I get actually foods rarely. Mostly because I'm too lazy to actually cook most days. But then right after we had exchanges and I went down to Pendleton with Sister Campbell, on of my STLs. And it was an hour and a half drive from the parley building in Pasco to Pendleton in Oregon but we took the route along the Colombia River and it was sooooooooo beautiful as the sunset dropped into the ocean.
But Pendleton is where the sketchiness happened so let's get to it. So we went and had a lesson with a guy that was definitely on so many drugs I don't know if he'll remember it later. English work, yayyyyyyyyy. Also the next day we were talking to this nice guy Mike who was outside smoking a cigarette and he casually mentions to us that Pendleton was dedicated to the devil in the 1800s so that was a fun fact. Not sure if he's serious but okay. Interestingly enough, everyone we talked too really hates living in Pendleton and I cannot understand why people choose to live there in the first place but that's all good. Also, as we were trying to walk across the street after having the first real hamburger on my mission (worth every cent of Christmas money). And these people drove by and threw some trash out of the car at me. But they missed by like 3 feet. They should probably practice so they can actually hit the target. Just saying, jaja.
But Sister Campbell's remark to me was that, well, turns out that the nicest people are the ones that are on drugs, even if they do say some of the craziest things.
But now for a super cool milagro of the week!!!!! Camila and her kids, Rosa, Julian, and Hailey came to hurch for the first time yesterday and they loved it so much and they're going to come to church next week!!!!!!! So that's a milagro because missionaries have been working with them for the past 8 months or so and they finally came!!!!
But that's been this week! Kind of a rollercoaster but a super cool week too!
Espero que todo vaya bien!
Hermana Blackburn
